Announcing my very first Jpop wallpaper! Inspired by her latest album “Love Station” “Heart Station”, it features Utada Hikaru, or as known by her fans, Hikki. I personally don’t really like her recent look, I much perfer how she looked when she first came out years ago, but then again, I’m just old, haha. Clicking on the pic below will lead to the full sized image which you can right click and save to your desktop if you like.

This is the first wallpaper in the new download section at JPopMp3s and hopefully the first of many. Members can even upload their own creations and share their love, which considering my graphic design skills, or lack thereof, is probably a good thing.

I’m also taking requests if anybody has an artist they’d like to see on a wallpaper. I can’t make any promises, but I’ll do my best. 　　頑張るぞ！

For any fans of Goto Maki, she started a new blog in March. You can check it out at blog.gotomaki.net, however it is all in Japanese.

For the benefit of those who don’t “do” Japanese, here is a quick summary of what she’s been posting about recently.

She just arrived in Hawaii yesterday after spending a couple of days in Las Vegas where she went to Cirque du Soleil and also saw a Pussycat Dolls tribute show (!).

It would appear that hers is a blog of her Starbucks adventures- hardly a day goes by where she doesn’t mention drinking one, and there are plenty of photos of her drinking a Starbucks drink or posing with one in her hand. Product placement is quite prevalent nowadays in movies and TV shows, but has it moved to blogs already? If it is product placement it isn’t very subtle.

She has been in L.A for the past few weeks practicing dance among other things. Jazz, Hip Hop and Crump. At first I thought she meant crunk, but according to Wikipedia, there is a style of dancing called crump.

She started the blog on March 25th and has posted everyday since then, mostly about the kind of Starbucks she drank that day and her dance and singing lessons.

If anybody is interested in having more of her blog translated, leave a comment below. I can’t gauge the interest level as yet to tell if it’s worth putting any more effort in reading and translating her blog, so comment below, or hold your peace.

I’m a little surprised to see Hamasaki Ayumi debut quite low in the top 10、but expect it to strongly challenge Hikki next week.
