Companion blog to Jpopmp3s.com
This week’s free download at the Japanese iTunes music store is “You say goodbye” by the artist SpecialThanks.
You can get it by clicking here. You will be directed to the Japanese iTunes music store. You will need an account at the Japanese store as the free download is not available at other iTunes music stores.
If you don’t have a Japan iTunes music store account you can get one at JPopMp3s.com, where you can get prepaid iTunes Japan cards in amounts from 2000 yen to 10,000 yen.
If you get a 2000 yen card you can download an album of your favourite Jpop artist or pick and choose a number of songs from any number of artists. No need to spend money on the whole album, pay for shipping or wait for the CD to arrive by mail.
iTunes offers a free download every week and once you have an account at the Japanese music store you can download them instantly every week.

Do you have a blog? Do you want a free iTunes Japan song code?
Maybe we can strike a deal. I’ve got a bunch of song codes from a current Coca Cola promotion. I’ve given a couple away but I think I might do something different.
If you write a post about Jpopmp3s.COM and link to it on your blog, leave a comment below linking to the post and I’ll send you a song code.
The link should point to JPopMp3s.com not JPopMp3s.net which is this blog. Also, the link text in the link should be “Japanese iTunes cards”.
I only have a limited number of song codes at the moment, but if more people blog than I have codes, I’ll get to drinking coke and fatten myself up.
Update: The Coke/iTunes promotion ended on July 31st. While I’d welcome any blog posts about JPopMp3s.com, I don’t have any more song codes to give out at this moment.

Wow! This week’s free download on iTunes Japan is gonna shoot straight to the top of my most played this week on my Last.FM! I love it. What a breezy, catchy true R&B summer tune.
Only 20 years old, she was born in Papua New Guinea (!) and grew up in Kobe. Influenced by Janet, Mariah and K-Ci & Jojo, she started singing R&B in junior high. <side-note; Freaky! just as I typed K-Ci & Jojo just now, “freaking you” came on on MTV Japan>
I spotted what I thought was a Rihanna influence, and also reminiscent of Crystal Kay.
If you are into R&B influenced Jpop- or even if you just like R&B, I definitely recommend downloading this song free on iTunes this week.
You can click on the image above or here to be taken to the download page in iTunes Japan. If you are not logged into the Japanese iTunes music store you won’t be able to get this track. Login first, then hit the link above.
Hurry up, it’ll only be free until next Tuesday the 1st of July, and once she blows up (which I predict she will) you’ll want to buy the album.

Finally!! After drinking gallons and gallons of Coca Cola Zero (which doesn’t even taste that good) I finally uncovered another free iTunes song code.
I’m posting it below for the first person who comes across it to grab and use to download a free song at the Japanse iTunes music store.
Once again, if you are the first to claim the code and you use it, PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT BELOW so that those that come after you will know not to waste their time, and also just to let me know that it worked for you. It would be nice to also know what you downloaded, if you’d like to share.
Here it is:
3F3M97FK9LLE <–Redeemed by Mike (see comments) That lasted almost 24 hours before someone snapped it up.
It expires September 30th 2008.
If you don’t already have an account at the Japanese iTunes music store, you can get one as well as Japanese iTunes cards at JPopMp3s.com

As everybody after Tom below found out, you have to be quick if you want to grab a free iTunes song code posted here. (See previous post). You can try refreshing the page every 5 minutes, however that probably won’t get you very far. That’s because even though I am doing my best by drinking waaay too much Coke Zero, (and my waistline can certainly attest to that), it appears that they just aren’t handing out those free song codes as often as they used to, even though somebody apparently wins every 10 seconds. Yeah Right!
You could subscribe to the RSS feed, but that still requires you to actually check your RSS reader for new posts.
The best way to make sure you don’t miss out the next time I post a free iTunes song code is to download and install the JPopMp3s toolbar.
As you can see from the screen shot to the left, the toolbar sits unobtrusively in your browser and is completely customizable. Not only does it have an RSS notifier which alerts you when a new post is made to this blog (so you will know instantly when a new song code is posted), but it also notifies you when new posts have been made at a couple of other great Jpop related blogs that I have chosen, namely, Pink Wota and Unchained. When a new post appears a small notifier star appears on the RSS icon in the toolbar. When you click it the list of blogs drops down which displays the titles of recent posts when you hover over it. Very convenient and certainly saves you from cruising the blogs daily for new material. I can also add more blogs to the RSS feed so if you would like to see a particularly good Jpop related blog, please let me know and I will add it to the feed.
Another great feature which I can honestly say probably gets used the most of all things on my computer is the email notifier which you can also see in the screen shot. This is great because you can setup any number of pop email accounts (Yahoo mail, Gmail, Hotmail etc) and get notified by the little star the minute a new email comes in, to any of your email accounts. You can also set it up to make a little pinging noise as well if you like. Once a new mail notification lights up, click the email icon and a list of your email accounts drops down, showing which email account has the new message as well as showing how many unread emails in each account.
Get the handy toolbar today by clicking on the link below or the small icon at the top of the sidebar to the right.
